Post by kaziel »

Hello gents!! Do you know any good books to start a new hobby -> shoes making. Most preferably some free online to start with. Thank you.

“The Elf's and the Shoe maker “ always excited me as a kid . Maybe a bit sparse on detail though LOL .
Good luck with your adventure .

Pretty sure there are at least a couple of forums out there.
I found and joined one years ago when I had some unusual antique cobblers tools for sale.
Try google searching words like Cordwainers or
Bespoke Boots/ shoes.

Get ahold of Axel Billo, he owns Billo shoes in Germany:

He was trained as a shoe maker and can probably help you his father owned a shoe factory.

I often use z - lib website for free book downloading , there are a few distilling ones there .
first book when I type in "shoe making" is a book called " Boots And Shoes: Their Making Manufacture And Selling, Volume I" , might be worth a look

there are probably youtube video's as well , I know there are shoe restoring ones
