Has anyone come up with a good vapor infused gin recipe at this point? I'm looking for the proper ratio of botanicals per litre to get me started with my new gin head.
13.5g/50L keg boiler
copper pot still
modular 3" CCVM copper&stainless w/offset gin head

Really helpful thread, thank you all, I learned a lot!

So do you have a recipe close to Gordon’s? I will macerate the botanicals and then will distillate using a pot still.

I made this one. Came out full of flavour.
Vapour infusion.
Slow run on a 4 plate reflux still.
Out was around 93% abv. I then watered down to 45%

5L 29% abv low wines.

38g juniper
20g coriander
1 cassia bark
Half teaspoon of Cardomon black seeds
Few bits of dried tangerine skin

Possibly a bit too much Cardomon , but after a week it seems to calm down and the juniper comes out a tad more.
Will most likely make it again!

Hi there,

Planning to try many different iteration of gins/botanical over the next few months.
I started with OEG as a base and now working on some recipe.

I see on this website that people use anywhere between 15-35g of botanicals per liter. OEG is around 20-22g, so on the lower end.

At the moment my technique is 48h maceration in 43% neutral and doing the spirit run with botanicals in the boil except citrus.

Is 30-35g too much for maceration?

Anyone tried that amount with success?
Thanks

Trying to revive this old thread unless there is a more active one to discuss Gin recipes.
After trying the OEG, I now have my own blend macerating. It's been 48 hours so will most likely distill in the next few days.
Will share my recipe and results if some are interested.
