Hi
How do you think cherry's would go in a sweet molassy rum?
I ask this as I've just finished drinking a glass of cherry wine, then refilled the glass with some rum without rinsing and it tastes.... goood.
Also cherry's go with chocolate.. and chocolate goes with rum.... soooooo

Re: Cherry Rum?
I have soaked rum on blueberries and cherries before, and it worked quite nicely.
And anything goes with chocolate. IMHO.

Dangerous reasoning. I remember having a similar train of thought at about 3am one night in my fresher year. We thought that rum and coke is good, rum and icecream is good, and icecream and coke is good, so we were pretty much obliged to make rum and coke spiders (floats I think its called in the USA?). It was disgusting, even in that 3am booze experimental stage of drinking. we had an icecream fight instead, as I recall.muss wrote: Also cherry's go with chocolate.. and chocolate goes with rum.... soooooo

Yeah, I think rum goes with almost any fruit. Do some sort of version of the strawberry panty dropper recipe with cherries.
Come to think of it, it would be very similar to a cherry bounce, but with rum instead of vodka or neutral.

This sounds like a good idea. Cherry rum. Hmmmm looks like my weekend is shot.
