Anyone know a source of Agave Pinas? Been researching this everywhere I know.

Grow your own from pups or seeds.

Get them from people re-landscaping their gardens.

If you are after A. tequilana, you'll need extremely good luck to find any.

are you any closer to Jalisco than you were when you joined ?

you probably already know it takes 21 kilos of pina to make 3l. of tequila.

I actually considered this but 10 years to maturity. I'm not that patient.

no, not closer. I had found that link and I think every other article on Agave before I posted this, looks like I was not missing anything then. Thanks.

Get yourself a large bundle of pesos and take a holiday in Mexico.

I do visit Mexico but when I am there, I just like to drink their tequila :)

A cooked pina is probably OK. Check first, plus declare it at the border.

I am having a hard time getting rid of the mental image of boulder trying to stuff a dozen 60 kilo pinas

into the overhead for the trip back north. :shock:
