Fava/Faba Bean Mash

Post by Stonecutter »

Save the world by making “bean whiskey” :wtf:
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jib.632 I stumbled across this article after reading an article NZChris supplied from the same site. It’s an interesting read. I wonder what the flavor wheel would be comprised of?
Freedom had been hunted round the globe; reason was considered as rebellion; and the slavery of fear had made men afraid to think. But such is the irresistible nature of truth, that all it asks, and all it wants, is the liberty of appearing.

I tried to maltle (for game, I like to experiment) and it has become sweeter and friable but never fermented (only ate some grain).I no longer thought there until a post a few weeks ago (where he asked what other cereals are maltail) he won up that memory. I think I'll make an attempt. My thoughts is that you have to start from the dry product (where carbohydrates are well formed) then turn it into malt and try a mash. It might be interesting, after all I think they have a lot of starch.

I’m not sure, but I expect that it would pair nicely with liver and a nice Chianti…

If you can't keep up with the conversation, better not try to join in at all :sarcasm:

Seems like a good pairing when having an old friend for dinner.
