filtering with activated carbon

Do i need to dilute the spirit before filtering through carbon. at the moment its at 85% . my aim is neutral spirit

I have not heard anything about diluting before filtering. I guess it could remove some stuff from the water that you diluted it with. If it clouds up after diluting it down, filtering will clear it up

Yes , Very interesting booklet i Have read this document previously. Sorry . Could not find any reference to Dilution or not

I dilute to 55 abv before filtering

Im sure it says somewhere that dilution should be to around 45-50% ......could be wrong though.......not sure where ive seen it.

On page 24, this image says the optimum %ABV for carbon filtering.

Yes i saw that . It does not state that % is the optimum . (its just a picture) This is what prompted my question in the first place . My main reason for joining this forum was to learn from the experienced distillers out there. I don't mind doing my own research but if something confused me ,or I'm not sure ,rather than making a mistake it would be nice to clarify with asking someone who , maybe would know.

There are other places around the internet that quote similar percentages, suggest you try still spirits sites and some other places.
