Do I need a taller tower for a keg?

Post by jimmycrackedcorn »

I have a 2"x20" dual purpose tower on a 3 gal boiler. I would like to upgrade to a beer keg. Will my 20" tower work or do I need to get a taller tower?

will work fine just need to adjust the run time and heat inputs to not over power the tower

What do you plan on making? If you want neutrals a taller tower will help but 20" should be OK, easily tall enough run Asa pot still. Jimmycrackedcorn why don't you wonder over to the welcome center and introduce yourself!

Taller will just make the output purer. Height = purity diameter = speed A 2" column will be fine on a keg. What most use anyway. The biggest thing you will need to each is hoe much heat you throw at it. Compared to the size of your product condenser.
