Last night I ran off my first batch from my latest wash. Fifteen gallons of wash yielded 2 gallons of 185 proof and a half gallon of 100. I have two more batches that I figure will yield the same. Then comes the spirit run, where I'll be able to combine the two initial runs with about five gallons of wash to get my final product. I'll be running off six gallons of 185 plus two of 100, so I'm going to be looking at a final product of maybe eight gallons of hi-test.

I ran off a batch like this in August and am just finishing it off now at the end of December. This is the way to do it. Shuffling five gallon fermentors around and running off small batches week after week is too much of a pain. This is the way to do it.

You netted 4.2 proof gallons from 15 gal of wash. Wow! How did you do that?

That must be one heck of a column on that keg man! Every time I've tried to fill mine that full I've ended up with a puking mess .

45 gallons of wash= 8 gallons high test?

If your putting 8 gallons in for a spirit run, how are you getting 8 gallons back out?

Are you cutting?

Tossing any of it out?

Why spirit run of not?

Are you making fuel?
