sweetfeed my way

Post by Shine0n »

My fermenter is a 30 gal brute, food grade of course.
35 lbs sugar
12-15 lbs sweet feed
1/2 cup bread yeast
1/4 cup dady
5 gal backset from previous run
Water to bring gravity to 1.09
There is something about the bread yeast, dady combo (for me) makes the flavor yummy. Almost taste like cookie crisp cereal. I usually ferment dry in 4-5 days, take ice jugs and crash clear for 2 days. Imo this is one of the best sippin likker I've had. I now have 2 gal on oak, 2 gal on cherry for a few months and about to remove the wood. I'm going to do my best to let sit for a year or so, we'll see if that actually happens. I now have 2 fermenters going and can't wait to try some new experiments with my new favorite likker. Who ever came up using the sweet feed recipe, thanks!!!!!!
