Should I clean the inside of my copper pot still, i've run about 10 runs through it and still have a "metallic" taint in it. If so what should I use, I used vinegar the first time and that smell lingered for quite a while which I didn't like.
Thanks
Cleaning copper pot.

Re: Cleaning copper pot.
Steam it good. That’ll help get rid of the vinegar as well as help build the patina, which will help the metalic taste.
Good old water and boil for an hour or two.

Re: Cleaning copper pot.
You shouldn't need to clean unless some thing burned. As for the vinegar it can be neutralize with a baking soda soak over night. Is the metallic taint in your spirit.
Re: Cleaning copper pot.
Can you taste it in your wash?
What is your wash?
On the spirit run, is it strongest in any part of the run?
