I'm working on building my first still. It's just going to be a ss stock pot pot still(20qt) with ss stock pot thumper(8qt) (don't know if I'll add the thumper in yet but I'm still going to measure for iy) and am working on writing down my measurements for stuff to start buying copper. I'm mainly wondering if the two pots are too close together(plained on using that camp stove to heat). I really couldn't find much info for if there is a minimum distance for stuff in a pot still. Like can I just run my pipe right to were the thumper pot sits now or do I need more copper and space between them

Whatever is convenient.

Looking at your setup my only concern would be if your heat source would affect the thumper.
The thumper should only be heated by the steam from your boiler.
If it is heated by your burner it will not be acting as a true thumper.

From experience with using this burner for cooking I haven't had any problems with it heating the other side besides getting warm to the touch (you can leave your hand on it and be fine and I leave cutting boards on it half the time when camping/tailgating). Worst case cause I'm going to put unions on both the thumper and pot a little above where the pipes go in and out I just have to move the thumper to the table with the worm and move the stove over some and redo the pipe connecting them
