So ive just about got all the pieces for my new build together. Im making a VM and boosting the column height by 24 inches. Im making it so that this section hooks up with triclamp so i can swap out the column to a pot still.
im interested in doing the "internal" style of gin where the botanicals are suspended in the vapor stream. since i will have 2"X24" I should have plenty of room.
Any suggestions? I was thinking of making a cup the width of the column with a screen bottom and a lip around it so it will sit at the top of the column and the lip get sandwiched between the triclamp ferrules.

Re: Internal botanical rack
I probably still have a couple of those small baskets like i sent Blanik sitting on my bench at work...
Same as that, but they i haven't yet drilled the big hole in the bottom.
Blanik wanted one for doing the same thing, dunno if he used it yet, but you could ask him if it's suitable.
