Packaged column?

Post by FAROM »

Hi to everybody, do I hope that someone can help me, to distill the herbes (to make the absinthe) and' better using a distiller po still and not a reflux still, exact? :?
Is it worthwhile to package the column or no? Thanks to whom will be able' to help me, hi to everybody.

For distilling and keeping the flavours it is indeed best to use a pot-still.

If you are using a column still, then remove the packing.
Packing increases the reflux -> more purity but less flavour.

Hi, thanks for your intervention, as suspected, it needs to eliminate the package. In my pot still I have the possibility' to use two columns a long 600 mm and another 400 mm, which do you recommend me the to use? Thanks for your availability', hi.

For flavour runs use the shortest column possible.
