Very thoughtful of you. I’ve vortices that sweat fitting also seem to have different thicknesses. That article has lots of info on why the types exist but is fairly devoid of useful info.
Here's a table that gives actual dimensions of US copper pipe. Most people here need to combine copper pipe with something like stainless sanitary fittings which use an entirely different set of dimensions.
It's important to mention where the standards are from. The copper table I referenced is US, anywhere else it would be unobtainium.
