Advice on buying a new still

Post by carees82 »

I've been looking at upgrading for a while. I currently have an air still and have been distilling each wash 4 or 5 times trying to get a really good natural spirit. I've been happy with the results but I'm after something which is going to make my life a lot easier.
I've been looking at the T500. I've got a few reservations about this model but Still Spirits seem to be the only commercial range available here in the UK.

Don't know what is available in the UK, but importing from north america is quite expensive..

How handy are with using tools, more important do you have tools to construct.. making it your self is not all the expensive.. helped one guy in the UK build himself a 2" concentric system..

It seems you know what you want, but I thought I'd throw Choosing A Still at you in case you had questions.

it'd be useful to know your price range and any other key criteria. there are other good options that can be assembled with minimal to no fabrication needed.

Check out my post "keg still repost". I'm extremely happy with my build.
