I stumbled upon an older Mile high essential oil still locally for a song and grabbed it. Its an 8 gallon boiler with a 6"x 16" column.
My plan is to use it for stripping. The condenser is long and has great flow. My plan is to run it hard and fast limited by the condensers ability to knock it down.
Here's my question. Should I pack the column or not?
I have a 5500 watt element/SCR controller that will fit neatly into the port at the bottom. Advice please

Re: Advice please
I'd put one roll towards the bottom half of the column
You have two ears and one mouth for a reason....

+1 I’d toss in some copper pieces for the bottom of the boiler as well.
🎱 The struggle is real and this rabbit hole just got interesting.
Per a conversation I had with Mr. Jay Gibbs regarding white oak barrel staves: “…you gotta get it burning good.”
