I want to permanently connect my boiler and cap. I don't like reapplying flour for each run. And I don't like the look of a ferrule connecting the cap to the boiler.
So I want to hide a manway behind the cap on the cape- https://www.glaciertanks.com/non-pressu ... press.html I realize I would need to swap out the silicone for a ptfe gasket.
Or an 8 inch ferrule and cap. Hidden as well.
Either choice would allow access to recharge or clean the boiler. Personally I like the manway because it's less parts to keep up with. Any ideas or experience?

Re: Ferrule or manway
You could use a water seal between the boiler and cap.

I've never seen a water seal, looks interesting.
