Got a phone call.
Again!
"Calling about your order through e-bay..."

I have NEVER (as it happens, not for any reason) ordered from e-bay.

Another scam.

There is absolutely nothing scammy about oak-stills or eBay.

I have made multiple orders as have others and their fittings prices are about as good as you can find. Tri clamp fittings are a commodity.

You can occasionally do better on Alibaba or AliExpress but you usually end up waiting on a slow boat to save a few pennies

Here’s where I ordered my ferrules: https://www.gvc.net/c/237/304-ss-sanita ... p-ferrules

Great source: best prices, inventory, and quick shipment. Hint - order some teflon gaskets too when you order.

Incidentally, I purchased “double pinned T/C clamps” because the pin joints are in double shear, and it swivels open easier. They are stronger and less likely to bend and bind. The price is slightly more expensive than a “single pin” clamp, but much more robust. I highly recommend using them (“buy once, cry once”).

Same here. 100% satisfied customer from OakStills.com. I ordered bubblers from them on eBay, then e-mailed about items I didn't see listed either there or on their store. They had what I wanted in stock, gave me a discount as a repeat customer off the web price and very quickly offered to replace the glass on one of the bubblers that had a chip out of it. All shipped via UPS with arrival in days from China. Excellent customer service, great products, low prices. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

As to original question about parts, ferrules, tri-clamps and the like, I second the recommendation of brewershardware.com. Same deal: good prices, quick shipping, great customer service.

Agreed.
But if someone wants to discuss your order, when there IS no order,
that is a scam.

I don't know if you could help but buy something from Aliexpress when savings is a priority (provided you wait long times). I found a couple of links for 2 "https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_9hnehh
Here you will find various sizes https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_a52iy7
For PTFE gaskets go here (you can select the material) https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_asuoof

I’ve bought a few of the pricier ones and few of the cheap one both ferrules and clamps. I can say for certain the difference quite noticeable, personally I will buy the pricier ones moving forward. I’m sure the cheap ones will work just fine, matter of choice

The cheap ones I got along with ptfe gaskets seem to work without leaks but better is better!

Cheers,

Yeah, but that's not an ebay scam, it is just some hacker phishing for your ebay account details.

What are you guys using as gaskets for the tri clamp fittings?

I know this horse has been beaten to a bloody pulp. Looks like it’s still a definitive “no” regarding silicone gaskets. The PTFE gaskets aren’t too terribly priced on Amazon. It’s surprising to see what safety standards change even over a few years. Hell, look at the rum threads regarding urea.
