best copper alloy?

Post by SpiffyStump »

A while ago I was looking into building my own still and came across a form were a fellow had said that the best copper alloy to use for a still is alloy c122. I want know what you think? Is that the best alloy? and do i want it with or with out oxygen or is there a type that is better? and does it need to be processed a certain way, as you can tell I dont know much about copper but thats why I am here. Please and thanks!

The product you indicate seems to be copper-based phosphorus, I use it only when I want a strong brazing, it requires a high temperature, for our use generally a tin-silver-based alloy (no lead) is fine.
