Hello all. I'm new to distilling.
I first brought a cheapy still spirits pot still (air cooled) and realised quite quickly that it wasn't very good. So I've just purchased the Turbo 500 still from still spirits. I would have loved to build my own, but I simply do not have the time or sufficient know how.
I've been getting about 93%-95% out of my T500, and am quite happy with it so far. I've been using one of the still spirits yeasts and want to try something new.
I want to get a neutral spirit. What would be a good recipe to start on? Birdwatchers seems very popular.
What yeast should I be purchasing? Just a high quality bakers yeast?

Welcome mate, I thought godziller was in Japan? . Yeah try the birdwatchers, just use lowan's bakers yeast from woolies. Or if you can get bulk fermex yeast too, same thing just different packagi.ng. Good luck mate.
