New from Cincinnati

Post by davek14 »

Hey y'all:

I'm an almost 63 year old from the Cincinnati area. My interests later have included making hard cider at home and growing tobacco for personal use. Trying to be self sufficient in all my bad habits, I guess. :) I've been a machinist for almost 30 years but just got laid off so self sufficiency might become important.

I also enjoy collection pocket knives.

This seems to be an informative site with lots of info in one place and people to bother for the oddball Q&A. Anyone from Cinci on the forum?

davek14, this is a great site for advancing your homemade liquor vice. Surprised you didn't mention beer brewing, as that's a self-sufficient complement to distilling.
Welcome to Home Distiller. Help is here for those who help themselves by reading.
Spoonfeeding might be up your alley since you sound as a technical guy who likes the ins and outs.
Good luck on your journey. Good luck with the layoff.

Very nice. The link with the descriptions of "heads", "hearts" and "tails" is something I knew in way less detail, and answered some questions. Now I need to figure out where on the forum to ask a few more.

Welcome Dave! This is a great place to learn to craft a dram you will be able to be proud of.
I was in Dayton for several years after college, but I have been back in WV for well over thirty years.
Enjoy your stay!
