Greetings from Missouri

Post by Jeffcobeeman »

I am just starting out learning how to distill spirits. I have/do also make wine, mead, and beer occasionally, and wanted to learn the craft of making spirits as well. I built my own simple keg still to get started with, and learn the basics, and hope to move up to a better still in the future. I haven't made my first run yet, but I do have a batch of sugar wash fermenting to do my first cleaning/practice run soon. Thanks for the add to the forum.

Welcome! you'll learn a lot with that cleaning run (which should follow a water and then a vinegar run). Take your time and read, read, read. You'll end up with questions you don't know you have yet.
