So in my haste to gain insight from the community, I neglected to read a line that was in bright red, right in front of me that it's good manners to introduce myself
Hi from Georgia, where my Missionary Baptist heritage is in direct conflict with my interest in distilling. I always have to be building something, and usually by the most difficult means possible, so I instead of buying a perfectly good pre-made still, I bought a whole lot of copper sheets and embarked on pintoshine's 5-gallon pot still despite never having worked with metal. Version 1.0 turned out pretty well and I already have about a book's worth of notes to make version 2 even better.
I look forward to meeting (and learning from) a whole lot of you in my endeavor to put some full mason jars in my kitchen cabinet...

Welcome to HD. You not alone getting the red line pointed out. Most of us that can build don't stop at one or six even. Enjoy the forums.
