I've been stalking this website for quite awhile and finally decided to register. (Damn that anti-bot math question, overthink that way too much....)
Like title says, I am from Finland, the land of silence and lakes. Although distillation for personal use is still illegal, I've done abit of it since age 14 and I've always loved brewing all kinds of drinks for myself and people close of me.
I've graduated as food- and biotechnology engineer and have improved my knowledge on technical knowledge on brewing, using post-fermentation yeast & biomass as food-grade ingredient and gases production.
I've been thinking of building a small distillery with just basic SS-pot method for just basic ethanol production. With current setup I am limited to 70cm height total from stove so I can't build a reflux system, unless if I make some serious width bazooka for the height I have now.
But I've been thinking of building a system resembling the Chinese cheap system including 10L pot and condensing coil. This is a basic system which with I could produce around +38% ethanol with single distillation.

Yeah that anti-BOT question stumped me. The wording can mean third NUMBER, or third DIGIT.
With a little pot still you may be surprised and get 60+% ABV out of it, depending on the setup.
Glad you joined up, and Welcome to Home Distiller!

Yeah it really depends on the setup what I will use in the future, but most likely I can't implement mini-boka reflux still on those heights. I could still build up somewhat improvement system, so I could strip all the non-desirable particles from my ethanol production process.
What I've currently seen on the market, they are currently offering a minimum of 3 meters of copper tube for sale and on width of 54mm to 100mm that could become a serous money investment. They go for amount of 25-45€/meter without taxes... So when and if I can, I will start to build my own flute for further process. Just an afterthought, has here been a thread for building a keg for flavoring rum & whiskey? Dad is a carpenter on a profession and some has sticked to me so I'd like to build my own kegs in the future when and if I will start to do the "good" stuff.

Re: Hey from Finland
Welcome.
To overcome my own problem with height, I made a spiral riser of a 2 m 15 mm OD pipe, by curling it. Could do it with a pipebender. 2 m long, only 50 cm high.
Later I made another of 3 m long and 60 cm high.
It can be done with 22 mm OD too, but then the width of the spiral is much greater.

You will find quite a few fellow "hobbyists" that have a space limitation as well.
Good luck!
