Hello...use to have a book that had a formula that based on the size of the run with the sp and amount you could figure out where to make you cuts for forshots heads hearts and tails...
Since the divorce I cant find the book..or remember the name..
Was the bible of backyard distilling...
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Re: Looking for a formula
Sorry to hear of your divorce, but you losing that book and formula is a blessing in disguise.
Think about the (many) variables: grain bill, conversion, yeast, ferment temp/duration, SG and FG, type of still and distilling protocol, how you plan to age/drink it.
Waaaay to many variables to juggle to apply a formula. Likewise, one cannot make cuts using a thermometer. Making cuts is a learned art over time using your senses: touch, smell and taste.
Here's a great place to start.
And when you get a minute properly introduce yourself and mention what you like to make/drink!
