Hello all,
I've been reading and learning here for just over a year now so thanks for all the great advice, it has helped a lot. I am based in Scotland and currently have a small 30L still which I built from a water boiler. I run it in pot mode for rum and add a 2" packed column with a VM head for neutral. So far my results have been reasonable but I hope to greatly improve with help from you good folks. Look forward to learning and contributing what I can.

Welcome! I'm pretty jealous of the distilling laws over there, on Instagram there are quite a few "Garage Distilleries" it seems.

Cheers BlueSasquatch Im guessing you mean the small ' artisan ' distilleries ' not sure what hoops they have to jump through to get their licence but government red tape here is brutal. As for the rest of us we just try to keep under the radar.
