First Time Distiller
First Time doing this on my own. Ready to make my sacrificial run. But before I do, I have one question. I pondered with the idea of using erythritol as my sugar. I have seen other posts but never really got a definitive answer on whether you could use it in your mash. I have my peaches, lemon juice, tomato paste, and yeast. Just wondering if I can use this sugar free sugar to ferment with?
Re: First Time Distiller
Welcome efriar - as far as I know erythritol is non fermentable. It is a sugar alcohol produced from fermentation and is sometimes used to backsweeten cider and beer. Just use plain table sugar it is surely a lot cheaper.
