Hi new here and new to distilling

Post by foofykid »

Hello,

My first name is Dan, i am first gen Serbian both parents were born in Serbia. They moved to the US in the early 70's and been here ever since. I am exploring to make Slivo (slivovitz) as my granpa did. He unfortunately died before I become old enough to learn from him on how to make it. Rest of my family never really made it so they wont be as helpful as the experience it seems on here. I am 36 so i am behind on doing this, i am just looking to make plum brandy not into any-else just yet.

Hopefully i meant and get to learn and some day help others!

Welcome to HD Dan. You may want to try to learn on a simpler product. Fruits can have a much larger learning curve. Good luck and stay safe.
