Thanks in advance from NJ USA!

Post by hartmanhooch »

So I’ve been an all grain home brewer for 24 years, about a year and a half ago I bought the pot still attachment for my Grainfather and got hooked. I’ve been running mostly Scotch-style and Bourbon (both all grain) and some UJSSM. I just ordered a 100L jacketed combination mash tun/boiler from Affordable and can’t wait to increase my yields.

Thats a purdy still.

Damn! That’s better than a necktie and some dress socks that’s for sure. Have with it. Welcome aboard

Having a second look. Criminy! How many gauges are on that thing!?

Thanks it really is a pretty piece, so much so that my wife has let me set it up in the sunroom. I thought sure I was going to be in the garage or beer room in the basement!
The gauges and safety valves seem double because of the jacket. Paul from ADE is big on safety.
I got it all wired up this weekend and filled the jacket with 7 gallons of mineral oil (still need about another gallon to get up to the 2/3 mark). Hoping to do my vinegar run this week.
