Hi all - New member from southern California

Post by RichBSoCal »

I am an avid homebrewer and am about to try my luck with distillation. I have a Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil and just purchased a pot still with copper dome attachment from Kegland that fits on top. My son will be visiting for the Christmas season and seems excited to help. Planning to have the first batch with fermentation complete in 2 weeks so we can go through the distillation process and try the bourbon while he is here. I then plan to oak and age the spirit for 3 months. Look forward to learning from the experienced members. Merry Christmas to all!

Welcome. Don't forget your vinegar + sacrificial alcohol runs before your bourbon. It'd be a shame to lose an AG batch to removing flux.
