Hey all.
Former homebrewer who really enjoyed the process and results. Decided to look into distilling after beer started to make me feel blah. Looking forward to learning and trying some hooch!

SOK,
Welcome to HD. Your brewing background will provide a solid foundation, but this much to learn about this branch of the family tree. Probably your first task is to figure out what you want to make and then center your research around that, so recipes, techniques, equipment etc.
Hope to see you around, Drifter

As a fellow homebrewer I made plenty of assumptions that making a mash is the same as making a mash, but it's not so. When you think you know something question your assumptions and look it up or ask. I only found this board a few months ago and would have made an even more complete mess of things had I not done so.
