Hello From North Carolina

Post by Wannabee »

Hey All, as my moniker suggests, I’m a wannabee distiller.

I spent 16 years selling wine and sometimes beer from the wholesale and import side. I had a brief gig as the wine and spirits director with the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago. Also about 5 years as a home winemaker. Now retired. The samples are long gone!

My interest is in making fruit brandies as apples and peaches are plentiful here in the Carolinas. I haven’t decided if I want to build a simple pot still or buy one.

Thanks for reading

Welcome from me too. If you have manual skills it is fun to build, a lot of work but a lot of satisfaction, otherwise buy, there is nothing wrong in both cases. As bushman said get advice here ...
