First batch from the new supplier....Liquid Brown Sugar?

Post by Jersey »

Stopped by my new best friend at US Malt to pickup my Molasses, I took a walk around the endless options, envisioning my bank account depleting when I spot Liquid Brown Sugar ($20 5 Gal!). The warehouse guy doesn't know what makes it liquid. I have a call into the salesman, but it appears to be Molasses and Corn Syrup...this could be good! Any suggestions on quantity for a 5 gallon wash? I am thinking of starting with 5 pounds of liquid brown sugar (guess I'll put it on a scale) and a gallon of molasses....check gravity and go from there.
Any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks!

As long as it doesn't have any preservatives that would hinder fermentation, give it a try.
