My latest batch of sugar wash must have caught a bug. Two of the fermenter buckets has a definite pink hue to them and smell faintly of puke. But since I am down with a bad cold myself it is difficult to be sure about smells.
I am running a quick stripping now to see what comes out.

you have a nice petri dish there. prolly growing staph or strep...i'd be wary of it raw. likely no problem once distilled.

Yep. I ain't saving that pink yeast sludge. But after strip and spirit run there'll be no bugs alive.

Came down with a mother of a cold today. Can't smell a thing, so after the stripping was finished all I can say is that it looks clear. No idea how it smells.
25l of low wines at 40% that may or may not be horrible.

That's an understatement. The results were vile. Far worse than any of my early experiments with turbo or anything I've ever been around.DuckofDeath wrote:smells like puke... most likely not going to be good
