not Another corn thread

Post by Triplequad »

As Im working with corn in all its verity and paying through the nose to ship steam rolled, I came across SAMs club selling yellow corn grits for about 50c a pound and wanted to see how it acted. I came across Prairie Mills Steelcut Pinhead Oats. it looks like it is chopped into pieces. Ill probably run it through the mill but what's been your experience with steelcut Pinhead ?

I don’t grind grains that are rolled or flaked. I do cook them with high temp enzymes and ferment on the grain. Not grinding makes them manageable to squeeze out for stripping.
🎱 The struggle is real and this rabbit hole just got interesting.
Per a conversation I had with Mr. Jay Gibbs regarding white oak barrel staves: “…you gotta get it burning good.”
