somewhere in the woods

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

Not sure if he's after SWMBO's birdseed or he heard I have cracked corn in the garage.

yep i still somewhere in the woods and had another fine season somewhere in the woods.i didn't do much this season but enough to keep me going...no planes no helicopters looking down on me no kids fishing in the woods?the canopy in the woods is much thicker as the years go by and seeing down through it is impossible to say the least...its about tradition folks and i do live it to the fullest,i tried it out back of the shed but it just didn't get it for me...i wonder if the know it all's still know it all?squirrel and deer season is upon me and I getting ready to fill the freezer as always.
settling in for another cold winter with my hot babe...

Nice work deer farmer. I’ve read all of this thread and I like the way you do things. Don’t worry about the pissants, just do what ya want to do. Only thing I would do different is to teach a younger guy (or girl) how to carry on when you’re too old to do it anymore. Remember, knowledge ya take to the grave with ya is wasted.

read thru thread and I'll admit that's how I would do it if I could. I built my own 12 gallon rig, not as pretty as yours, but i can say its mine. got 115 acre beside me but a lot of the neighbours dont respect fence and its constantly got vistors. a copper still would be at the scrap yard in minutes. enjoy the experience.

I still going strong, not going to change anything next year except maybe more runs and some different mash flavors.i can't seem to remember how to post pictures.i know I have posted them before...the copper seems to look bad and I have to clean it up some,I used to polish it with never dull or mothers polish.it has been what 7 years since I found and joined this site.

Below the text entry box, there is an “Attachments” tab. Click it and navigate to the photo on your device, ie - photos file. Then attach it. If you click “post inline”, you’ll get a duplicate image, but you only need one. So, just backspace to eliminate the duplicate (it’ll be between the [ ] brackets in your thread text box. Then, submit. Bingo!

p.s. - the photo must be resized to a maximum of 800 pixels in either direction to post. Larger photos won’t work.
