First All Feints Run

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

First All Feints Run

Post by Manc »

I've just finished my first all Feints run I had 50 litres of 45% abv I know it's a bit high I wanted to get rid of it all, 80% of it is from refluxed runs with the rest from double pot stilled. I ended up with 5litres of 90%+ abv of usable after cuts which is going to be used on my first Odin's easy Gin.

I'm happy with the results and consider the returns good seeing that its what I've already discarded. What do you all think?

 some of my all feints runs have produced some of my best vodka and liqueurs.

I have a bain marie pot still. Would watering down feints to low ABV help spread out a feints run in the hopes of gathering some good cuts in the middle?

+1

I echo the same for an all fients whiskey. Always have been something special.
"Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond."
