Hi all,
I've been working on this slowly over the last 12 months due to work commitments but should now have time to finish it and get running.
I'm looking initially to create a good neutral that I can later infuse to make gin but 1 step at a time.
The coil is resting in the photo because I was checking for coolant pipe leaks and the Boka head isn't on. I've loosly capped the top with a 2" cap sealed with PTFE for initial stripping runs and will put the Boka head on for a spirit run once I've collected enough.
Any constructive criticism before i continue down the wrong path?
Cheers
Dan

Re: My first ever build
If I understand what I’m looking at, please confirm,
Is it currently set up for vapor managment and You have the coil removed and cap at the top?
IF that is correct this still design makes me nervous. If you ever accidentally forget to open the vaper valve you’ll next post will be from your widow.

The still, as assembled, is dangerous. You need to remove the vapor valve from the potstill. Just one “ooops” and “boom!”.

I am not sure about what I see. The coil seems to be a cold finger inside a double cooling helix.
I suppose the column is open on the top, for if it is not, the valve might be a risk.
I can not see what the left column is. Is it a cooler or column?
But these reactions are a bit late. Maybe you already have build and run it?
