How to post pictures?

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

How to post pictures?

Post by BoomTown »

Off and on for years, I’v tried to post pictures of my various rigs, with varying success. I keep getting messages about the files being too big. Is there a simple way to take a picture, then upload it using an iPhone or iPad?

Yes, load the app image size. This makes a copy of your original to what ever size you want to make it too.

Kind of an old post and not really sure the first part is still applicable but people have suggested different ways of resizing photos.

or on a win 10 computer
open picture with built-in program 'photo'
right click on image and one option is 'resize'
pick a size (say medium) and a 'save as' window will open.
rename resized file and save where you can find it.
just tested a 4m image, medium reduced it to 321kb

Make sure the picture is taken with the location services "OFF." If not, embedded GPS info will transfer to anything you post on this site: co-ordinates, street address, city, state, etc. and anyone with medium computer skills can find out exactly where the photo was taken.
