Moonshine with Momma

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

Moonshine with Momma

Post by SmokyMtn »

Well most folks will buy a card for Mother's Day, maybe flowers, or take Momma out to supper. Me... nope my Mom wanted to watch me make a run on the still. And I got to say she made a great still hand. She wanted to help, so she made the paste, swapped collection jars. And of course took a jar home with her.

Got to say this was a great first having Mom by my side. And will definitely keep a sipping jar to treasure the memory.

Couldn't agree more. Sounds like a great Mother's Day for both of you.

🎱 The struggle is real and this rabbit hole just got interesting.

If only we could bottle life's memories as neatly as you did, Smoky. Great story about handing tradition up. Thanks for sharing.

My mother likes the gin that I make. Shes asked several times to watch and help. Has enjoyed the process both times.
