Cornographic material

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

Cornographic material

Post by juana_b »

still pic.PNG
2000L, 5 plate.
Commercial distillery. I won't be sayin whos.
I'm working on the steam boiler, feedwater and chem pumps, alarms, interlocks, chiller, and such.
Don't know if I'll actually get to see this beauty in person yet.
If the info I was given to engineer this system was correct, I shouldn't need to be onsite.
....Jeez, I really have to come up with any reason fer a trip over there.

If you are saying you don’t have to monitor the still during a run then this post will be removed or blocked. Safety is very important and I am hoping I am misinterpreting your post.

This is something I'm working on for a commercial distillery. I'm only engineering how the equipment works together.

Thanks for clarifying for me as I misunderstood designing and building with running without monitoring.

Sigh, it looks like I brought too much clarity to the project to justify a visit. Oh, well.

You could always say that with a system so complex, you'd really like to double check their measurements yourself to ensure it isn't under-engineered.

If your project is on the same side of the island as I am staying at I might have seen the set up the other day.

Hopefully the builder uses a better design and materials for the plate drain linkage than Corson did.
