Cleaning used container

Post by HooBilly »

I just picked up a 5 gallon jug that has only contained veg oil. I found these for .50 cents. Now I am not sure how to clean the oil from the jug before I can even sterilize it. I know hot water alone wont do it, but dont wanna use something that will give me problems later.. Any help?

To disinfect it, use a couple teaspoons clorox to 5 gal water. Let it soak about 20 mins...then rinse it out GOOD with clean water. That will take are of any bacteria.
