Putting older posts here. Going to try to keep the novice forum pruned about 90 days work. The 'good' old stuff is going to be put into appropriate forums.

Really? Brands of what?

It ain't like gluten is going to carry over in a distillation.

I'm talking about spirits, in specific.

I know of some Gluten free beer, and they suck.

Gluten does survive the distillation process. If the people drinking it are really sensitive to it like the ones I know it's a bad scene.

I'm just looking for input on spirits that are known to be gluten free to clarify.

it's odd to call it 'survive', they are just proteins.
generally, gluten are found in grains, so fruit brandies and such should be fine.
and after distillation very little should be left in the distillate, but apparently enough to harm the allergic ones. though, neutral spirit from a reflux still made from grains should be ok too.
potatoes, rice (http://gfkitchen.server101.com/rice.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow) don't contain gluten eather,

I will second that sorghum beers suck. Although for you celiac people, sorry to say you are stuck with shitty beer.

I got a bunch of sorghum malt from a local guy and tried making a couple beers from it. I am tempted to just ferment out the rest and distill it, but I am afraid it may hold the terrible taste. Maybe some flavoring from the brew shoppe would help that.

As for gluten free distillates.

Rum, Vodka, distilled mead, tequila.

What else do you need? I think you hit the all main food groups with those 4.
