Hows it everyone.
Honestly, I suck at growing things. But I may just be able to force my self to get better for the good of my fermenter/gin basket/etc.
What would you not be without in your garden?

Re: Must haves in a distillers garden
I start with the ingredients list for a desired product, then find out if there anything on the list that is difficult to obtain, or expensive, and grow that.
Re: Must haves in a distillers garden
Seems smart.
I guess my questions was more around do you see the same ingredient popping up consistently over many recipes. Or at least that was what I was meaning although I articulated it in rather a shitty manner!
Seeing as I am not versed in too many recipes or finding the ingredients etc.

Herbs mainly for cooking - bay, thyme, rosemary and mint.
Some years chilies. But I can see my next project being a plum tree (or two).
Maybe once I've played with making gin I'll have some better ideas

Try to source bergamot and Seville oranges. If you can't get any, that would be a good place to start.

Re: Must haves in a distillers garden
I am too lazy to really have a garden. But I try to grow a hedge of sloes. They make a convincing border, make in spring two days a beautiful white wall and have good sloe plums in fall.
I planted two walnuts at a distance of a hammock of each other.
