Wild turkey spiced

Post by Gaffatron »

hi all,

Wild turkey has discontinued their spiced bourbon which I loved! has anyone made a spiced bourbon similar or have any idea on what to add and at what stage to make something similar.

I have rattled my brain, tastebuds and the internet to find out what is in it and the only ones I can taste/find are cinnamon, vanilla, pepper corns and clovers but it still lacks that ''spice'' and flavour...

any help appreciated

The great thing about this hobby is.....you can experiment to your hearts content!!! You can macerate with spices or stick ‘em in the vapor path (ala gin botanicals). But selection of, and quantity of each will vary. So take your time and experiment. Learn “how to” along with the “what to” as you do.

Check out the celestial seasonings teas. Its herbal tea, no actual tea in them, just spice. Lots of different flavors. I spice my rum with the bengal spice flavor. All tge spices are listed in tge ingredients.

I like to make hard spiced tea using Bigelow Constant Comment tea. Real nice blend of spices that are great sweetened,it has black tea, rind of oranges, sweet spice and natural flavors.
