manufactured cork

Post by cob »

agglomerated cork, bonded cork, manufactured cork, synthetic cork, sheet cork.
this msds is for sheet products used for flooring, and counter tops, and wall covering. http://www.wecork.com/wpcontent/forms/S ... s+MSDS.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow. note polyurethane as the bonding agent.
i found only one other msds related to cork wine stoppers it stated the use of latex as a bonding agent. but i can't at this time relocate that msds.
the automotive and industrial gasket manufacturers make cork mixtures with, butyl rubber, neoprene, viton, buna-n, nitrile, and silicone.
contact cement and melamine have both been associated with composite cork, as has an acetone process.

the cork vender i spoke to that went to portugal with promises of returning with full disclosure came home empty handed and red faced.

four months of searching and almost nothing to show speaks louder than full disclosure. don't use any cork product that is not pure natural cork! cob
