They have invested some serious money in that equipment. Just pricing the smaller ones at the National ADI conference would make your head spin. WooTeck with that kind of money up front I got to think you are right about the price of their whiskey.

they have the money and the product will sell. id have a guess that itll be between £25-60 ($37-90) to put this in context a 1l of smernov if about £20 in the supper market.

i hope its shareholders money going to good use.

Just to update this thread. Brewdog are now selling 1/2l samples of two versions of Gin and two versions of Vodka and looking for feedback to see which people prefer. No doubt they have some whisky maturing in the barrel as I type this too.

Calling themselves the 'Lone Wolf' distillery.

ive been for a visit. tried a early version of the vodka and gin. fairly tasty, ended up chatting to one of the distillers and taking samples of the running trial still. the have a 60 plate flute. its something to behold. bd. have put out a grain sprit (unknown distillers- not made at lone wolf) aged for 3 years in virgin American oak they are calling it uncle duke. drinkable but it dose seem very young for a product asking £30 a bottle.

Thanks for the update guys. Have either of you gone on a tour of the facility? I enjoy private one on one tours when I am visiting craft distilleries.

Bit too far away for me, but I have bought a bottle of the Uncle Duke's Whiskey to try over the festive period via a friend of mine - he's a shareholder and gets 20% off their online shop.

Will let you know what I think of it in due course.

ive been up. its an impressive rig and the hanger is right next to the brewery so its cool to see where the wash comes from. i was part of a large group on one of their open days.

ive ordered some dukes. i wasnt super impressed when i had it at the bar but proper sampling is needed.
