Well i got rewarded with a half case of beer for helping a nate out. About 8 of them are empty now.
Anyways after my new found knowledge of distilling spirits, brewing and mashes. I read this on the lable on one of my beer bottles. And it got me thinking.
"This full strength,
full bodied, full flavored
AUSTRALIAN LARGER
is full
of many things.........
EXCEPT additives
And preservatives
Its also on
average 99.9%
SUGAR FREE"
"Full of many things......." is what got me thinking lol. Now knowing beer is basically carbonated mash and after learning about heads, forshots, hearts and tails and reading about what they are. I realized i really am drinking "many things". Methanol, acetone, fussle oils and a heap of other sh!t i cant spell right now.
Probably explains why i feel drunker quicker on beer than spirts. I mean if i drink beer i feel intoxicated quicker and heavilyer than i would if drank the same amount of pre mixed spirits with the same or similar alcohol content.
This has actually turned me off beer a little. I might save the last 4 for the pot 0.o
Or maybe not, it hasn't killed me yet altho i don't like im drinking a mix methanol, acetone and a bunch of other stuff.

Re: Beer lable got me thinking
Yeah i know right lol
Probably explains why i dont drink some spirits to, after learning that Comercial companys actually use various amounts of forshots and tails. Altho i finnd its only certain bourbons that turn me into a obnoxious turd. Hear in Australia Bundaberg rum is notorious for sending people into a rage. I dont have any problems with it tho

Re: Beer lable got me thinking
That was why I never drank tequila when I was fighting age. Cheap made shit can kill ya liver but can make ya wish ya would die next day.
Re: Beer lable got me thinking
Hey on the bright side its 99.9% sugar free and contains no preservatives or additives, right. Thats a good thing yeah
"10th beer going down much more smoothly now lol"
@acfixer69, its only bourbon for me, like if someone pulls out a bottle a jack, thers gonna be hell to pay

Got a chuckle out of reading this thread. I'm surprised we are all alive after eating all the stuff that foods contain nowdays. Here's my beer label. Must be pretty pure stuff. No ingredients listed. LOL
I don't drink alcohol, I drink distilled spirits.
Therefore I'm not a alcoholic, I'm spiritual.

Re: Beer lable got me thinking
I got the pork rinds. Gimme a shandy there 6 Row.
Re: Beer lable got me thinking
All this reminded me of Roger Creager's song.
Tequila dries me out, and beer just makes me fat.
Whiskey makes me nauseous, tell me who the hell needs that?
If you're thinkin' about drinkin', then the answer's crystal clear,
Its the invisible intoxicant....its called everclear

It would be good for breakfast too. My first shandy was really good and that 5 gallons went pretty fast. I hope my "stillin" is as successful.fizzix wrote:I got the pork rinds. Gimme a shandy there 6 Row.
