Anyone in Houston area making ethanol for fuel?

Alcohol is an inexpensive, clean and renewable fuel source.

Anyone in Houston area making ethanol for fuel?

Post by bartlettsdistillery »

If there's anyone in the Houston, TX area that's making ethanol for fuel, and you have your TTB license for doing so, we need to talk.

I currently make Rum (and a little whiskey) at our distillery and as a byproduct, I'm left with about 15 gallons of 150 proof heads that I can't do anything with. THIS IS NOT DRINKABLE. So, if you're making fuel, I could transfer this stuff to you at little to no cost.

Anyone interested?

Cheers,
Van

Can't you just make vodka with it?

I can't, but someone with a full vodka still may be able to get something out of it. I only have a 4-plated column and when I've tried to do an all-feints run, I didn't really get anything out of it.

This would be good feed stock for someone making ethanol for fuel.

Cool that you are reaching out to find a use for your non usable's. Curious if other distillery's are doing the same.
