For more information about kudzu and kudzunol, you may want to look at this site: http://chemicallygreen.com/kudzu-ethanol/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow . I was once told that someone had found a definition of kudzu as being a fast growing weed known to cover cars, telephone poles, houses and slow moving cattle. Ground hogs and deer like it, though.

I think they use patented bio-engineered bugs of some kind - not a biologist so bugs are bugs to me. But it isn't yeast, and it isn't something you can buy that I know of.

dont know much about it but a few months back the same sprinkling of stories popped up about a guy doing the same thing with office waste paper.

they claimed some super-secret enzyme that converted the plant fibers into starches then its just like using corn etc.
still havent seen this magic ingredient.

ill put my money down that this guy isnt using any engineered bugs in his garage :D interesting tho...

It's not a secret any more it is called richoderma reesei TISTR 3080 which produce cellulase for conversion of cellulose into sugar. It is readily available from most bio culture suppliers.

interesting, got any info on practical uses?
cant say that i know much about it but what i understand the goal is any fibrous plant material can be turned to fuel?
would revolutionize the recycling business if a easy and effective method were developed...

FYI: i believe it is trichoderma reesei TISTR 3080 with a 'T'

I have isolated it but haven't developed a protocol. And yes it was a cut and paste error.

Yup, I live in Cleveland. Graduated from Cleveland High School in 2006. I might have to pay this guy a visit.

Yeah, it's near Soddy. Just hop on 27 and make your way to I-75. Cleveland is 30 miles north of Chattanooga.

This is ironic as hell. Studies done on kudzu suggest that when consumed orally it may suppress alcohol cravings in alcoholics. I wonder if inky cap mushrooms would ferment well too....
